With its cosy Scandinavian environment, typical of the hygge trend - or Nordic sense of well-being - Frantzén's Kitchen claims up the unique model of an innovative Swedish cuisine in Hong Kong. The intimate dining room seats 30 patrons and provides heart-warming atmosphere in a decor made of wood, mouse grey panels as well as burgundy lamps and chairs.
Displayed in enamelled stoneware, dishes play the quality card and the mix of complex flavours, like the "Swedish Sushi", subtle blend of venison and bird liver, topped with lichen chips. A few Asian touches find their spot here and there, in the caramelized cod in miso, the grilled Swedish beef tenderloin with smoked shiitake and enoki mushrooms. Little used ingredients also find their way into the desserts, with thyme ice cream, tomato jam, pollen and birch oil. This revolution of flavours and textures will leave you a lasting impression!
